New Features for Prizm Content Connect v10.3:
Viewer
- We’ve added the ability to work with multiple annotation layers, including the ability to hide/show individual layers and merge layers together to form new layers.
- New API methods now allow serializing and de-serializing individual annotations or groups of annotations into JSON strings. This will allow for easy association of individual annotations with related database records.
- We’ve added a spinning icon while loading the first page of a document. Previously we only showed this on page changes after the first page was loaded.
- We’ve added support for many common keyboard keys and shortcuts to the viewer samples in order to make navigation easier.
- New printing options allow setting the printed page size, which makes it possible to print many more documents with the proper page size.
- API Changes:
- New methods allow hiding/showing individual marks.
- We’ve modified the TextSelected event to attach line rectangle information, thus allowing for the ability to figure out where in the document (pixel coordinates) selected text is when the user selects text with the mouse.
- E-Signing module:
- We’ve added tools to allow resizing multiple items to the same height or width, making it easier to create consistent looking forms.
- We’ve added visual marks (red triangle in the corner) to fields in the template creator module to make it visually clear which fields are required fields.
- Key settings for each field can now inherit from global settings. For this release this will include font and color, but we will likely expand this concept over time. This makes it easier to modify the font, etc. across an entire template.
- It’s now always possible to expand a field either horizontally-only or vertically-only, as we have changed the way drag handles are presented.
- It’s now possible to select several fields and mark them all as "Required" in the template creator.
- It’s now easier to perfectly place a selected field by using the keyboard arrow keys to 'nudge' the field in the proper direction, one pixel at a time.
- New checkbox grouping behavior has been added to the eSigning module to allow for selecting one and only one item from a group of checkboxes (the checkboxes behave as radio buttons while the user is signing the form).
- A new multi-line option is available for text fields, so users can enter large quantities of text easily.
- New configuration properties make it easier to configure the eSignature modules by setting properties on creation rather than modifying JavaScript code.
Services
- Internal hyperlinks from the Office documents are now maintained upon conversion and are clickable in the HTML5 viewer.
- Extended capabilities of the Content Conversion Service to convert multiple files of different formats to a single TIFF file.
- Extended capabilities of the Content Conversion Service to convert certain pages and page ranges of the source documents to a single TIFF file.
